Kinusaiga, which translates to “silk-wrapped picture,” is a Japanese fiber art technique where fabric is wrapped around foam to create patchwork picture. The art form is credited to the artist Maeno Takash. Landscapes, portraits, or abstract designs can be created by tucking fabric into channels cut into foam. The stunning results look like stained glass! No sewing is needed at all.
